The following Congressional committees are responsible for drafting and overseeing legislation on the federal budget or food programs. Personal calls to the staff people on these committees (or someone more senior) will be important in influencing the budget for the federal food programs. We ask that you call your Senators' and Representatives' Washington D.C. offices to discuss your opposition to cuts or structural changes to nutrition programs.
