H.R. 5504 is scheduled for a "mark up" in the House Education and Labor Committee during the week of July 12th...

  • Urge Members of Congress to support H.R. 5504 and Chairman Miller's efforts to provide substantial and positive new investments in federal child nutrition programs.
  • Ask that H.R. 5504 be broadened to include expansion of the afterschool meal program so that low-income children in every state can access nutritious food in out-of-school-time settings.
  • Urge Members of Congress to invest an additional $1 billion/year for ten years in Child Nutrition funding as President Obama has requested, especially by adding funding for program access priorities; and oppose cutting SNAP Nutrition Education funds.
